Soweto Gospel Choir

 
Wednesday 20 January - Saturday 23 January

On their last visit to Bermuda the singers of this choir rocked the house with their joyful spirit and exuberance. This dynamic young choir performs both traditional and contemporary music, adding its own unique feel and interpretation. Soweto Gospel Choir is a multi-award-winning ensemble and have been performing worldwide. 
 

Moscow Circus

Emmy, the award-winning producer and former Moscow Circus performer, SashaVosk, have created a delightful program with flying acrobats... the zany antics of the hilarious Russian clowns... and a surprise act. 
 

Bermuda Festival Chamber Orchestra

 
Tuesday 2 February 8.00PM, at City Hall Theatre 
 
Formed in 2009 in celebration of Bermuda’s 400th anniversary, the Bermuda Festival Chamber Orchestra received widespread response in the island. Key performers include Oliver Grant in Piano and Ryan Ellis as the Conductor. 
 

Arturo O’Farrill

 
(Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra) 
Saturday 6 February, 8.00PM at Ruth Seaton James Center 
 
Led by pianist Arturo O’Farrill, son of Chico O’Farrill, the ensemble plays the O’Farrill repertoire. Committed to the Afro-Cuban legacy, the band’s varied program moves from explosive tempos played with pinpoint precision to gently swaying ones. 
 

Sweet Mama Stringbean

 
Tuesday 9 February - Thursday 11 February, 8.00pm at City Hall Theatre 
 
Woodie King’s National Black Touring Circuit returns to the Festival with this new production based on the life of Ethel Waters, the legendary star of stage, film and television. The production is starring Sandra Reaves, Phillips. 
 

Morgan Szymanski

 
Saturday 13 February, 8.00pm at City Hall Theatre 
 
This rising star will present a concert of music for solo guitar including works by the popular Spanish composer Albéniz; waltzes by the Venezuelan composer Antonio Lauro; and some great music by the Paraguayan Agustin Barrios Mangore. He will also perform music by the English composer Alec Roth written especially for him.

Trio Hochelaga

 
Tuesday 23 February, 8.00pm at City Hall Theatre 
 
Anne Robert in Violin; Paul Marleyn in Cello and Stéphane Lemelin in Piano. The Trio has rapidly distinguished itself on the Canadian musical scene as one of the country’s best musical ensembles. This program includes solo, duo and trio. From the tenderness of Schubert to the brilliance of Mendelssohn, and the passion and poetry of Chopin, Schumann, Smetana, Brahms and others, this program has great appeal for all. 
 

Rioult

Pascal Rioult’s vibrant dance company has grown in size and stature since its last appearance at the Festival six years ago. The diverse program will focus on some of Rioult’s exciting new repertoire which has received great acknowledgement from world-over. 
 

A Gala Evening of Ballet

 
Tuesday 2 March, 8.00pm at City Hall Theatre 
 
Includes guest dancers from New York City Ballet and American Ballet Theatre. The program will feature some well-loved pieces by George Balanchine as well as new choreography. 
 

Voces8

 
Friday 5 March - Saturday 6 March

Voces8 is the latest in an illustrious line of a cappella vocal ensembles to appear in the Bermuda Festival line-up. This international award-winning octet, founded by ex-choristers of Westminster Abbey, has earned itself a formidable reputation from its recordings and its highly regarded performances around the world.
