Studio 8 (Glass Fusion Workshop & Retail Shop)
Studio 8 is a vibrant, hands-on glass fusion studio and boutique in Royal Naval Dockyard, Bermuda. Rather than simply selling decorative glass, Studio 8 invites visitors to create their own glass pieces, with all materials and tools provided.
They also produce and display a wide variety of handmade fused glass jewelry and ornaments, including pieces using Venetian and dichroic glass, and have developed a popular “Pink Sand” line of gifts and lockets.
Signature offerings
Glass fusing workshops: You can make jewelry, sun-catchers, pendants, or small decorative pieces. The process involves selecting glass fragments, arranging them, firing in the studio’s kiln (~1500°F), cooling and finishing. Workshops are about 2 hours.
Pink Sand jewelry & lockets: Studio 8 offers a “Sand Bar” where you can personalize your own piece with over 150 charms and pink Bermuda sand, letting you make a keepsake.
Handmade retail line: A constantly evolving selection of fused glass jewelry, glass ornaments, keepsakes (sun-catchers, snowflake tree decorations, etc.), and recently their "Beach Booty" line — transforming recycled beach plastics into art/gift items.
