East Meets West Bermuda
$$, Indian, Chinese, American
If you are unsure about which cuisine to try or in a group with varied choices of food, this is the place to come in Bermuda. Located in Hamilton City and having a branch in Southampton parish, East Meets West lives up to its name and serves Asian, Mediterranean, Chinese, American and a full Indian menu.
So wondering what kind of a job they would do trying to lay their hands in so many things? I was surprised to figure out that they actually do a great job almost in all types of preparations. East Meets West in Bermuda is a combination of a restaurant, a bistro and a budget take out service.
If you like spicy Indian food, try out the Indian Roti which is a flat round wheat bread like a wrapper with lamb curry in it. It's really tasty. Want Chinese? You will also get bowl of noodles and many other nice Chinese dishes. While they serve regular American dishes including meet preparations and well seasoned chicken breasts, there are also wraps, salads, sandwiches and burgers available here.
Jambalaya, a Creole food preparation inspired from Louisiana and served on Cajun rice is a popular dish in the restaurant. There is a full service outdoor bar. The Southampton branch offers some specialty items including a full Sushi menu. There is also a take out section.
They accept credit cards. Dress code is smart casual. Try to make a reservation before coming.
UPDATE: The restaurant has closed down
