Bermuda Temperatures

Because of the nearby warm water of the Gulf Stream, Bermuda remains "sub-tropical" in climate. Over the whole year, the average annual high temperature in the island is around 76 degree Fahrenheit and the average annual low is 68 degree Fahrenheit. You will never see snowing or ice in the island or even frosting.

The hottest months (summer) are from May to October when the average air temperature ranges between 70°F (21°C) to about 85°F (29°C). Summer is the peak tourist season in Bermuda.

The coolest months are from December through March which is the winter season in Bermuda. The average air temperature ranges between 65°F (18°C) to about 70°F (21°C) in winter. During the winter season, although the water gets quite cold (to an average of about 65 degree F), the visibility of the water becomes very high (between 150 - 200 feet). That makes it excellent for scuba diving or even for snorkeling, of course with wet suits.

Winter time is also excellent for tennis and golf. Hotels also offer great discounts, and most importantly, this time falls outside Bermuda's typical hurricane season which is June to November.
