Bermuda Laundromats and Laundry Services

Updated: October 2026
Whether you are a newly arrived expat waiting for your shipping container to clear customs, a remote worker in a long-term rental, or a resident dealing with a broken washing machine, you may eventually need a public laundromat.

Bermuda has a reliable network of facilities spread across the parishes. However, getting your weekly wash done here requires knowing a few local nuances.

Who This Guide Is For

This guide is primarily for residents, long-term digital nomads, and expats navigating life in Bermuda. It is tailored for those who need to integrate laundry into their weekly routine without wasting time.

If you happen to be a short-term visitor or a cruise ship passenger docked at Kings Wharf, you should generally skip doing laundry unless it is an absolute emergency. There are no facilities at the cruise docks, and traveling to the nearest laundromat will consume hours of your day.

Quickie Lickie Laundromat (Locations, Hours and Tips)

When residents need a reliable place to wash bulky items or handle a week's worth of clothes, Quickie Lickie Laundromat is usually the first stop. They operate several no-frills locations across the island.

For those living or working near the capital, the most popular spot is on 74 Serpentine Road in Pembroke Parish, just outside Hamilton.

They also have convenient locations on North Shore Road and Middle Road. Operating hours generally run from 6 am to 10 pm Monday through Saturday, and 6 am to 6 pm on Sundays.

This makes it easy to drop in before heading to the office. You will use their proprietary prepaid setup, which requires purchasing a reusable card from a wall kiosk before loading funds for your wash cycles.

Hendy's Laundromat

Another good option in Hamilton is Hendy's Laundromat located right on 20 Union Street in Hamilton. It is highly rated, very clean, and offers multiple machine sizes. However, parking is limited on roadside.

They are typically open 6:00 am to 10:00 pm Monday through Saturday, and 6:00 am to 7:00 pm on Sunday, except on Wednesdays when they are closed.

Warwick Laundromat and Ord Road Laundry

If you live in the central or southern parishes, you have excellent options right in your neighborhood. Warwick Laundromat is located on 15 Ten Pin Crescent in Warwick Parish. It is a favorite for expats renting near the south shore because it offers decent parking for scooters and small cars.

They are typically open from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm Monday through Saturday, and from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm on Sunday.

Another reliable option in the same parish is Ord Road Laundry located on 44 Ord Road, Warwick. They are usually open Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm (last appointment is at 5:30pm).

Both of these facilities use standard cashless kiosks. Because these spots are heavily utilized by neighborhood families, you should completely avoid Sunday afternoons when the machines are in high demand.

A Note on Cruise Ship Areas (Dockyard)

While this guide focuses on residents, expats often host visiting friends and family. If your guests arrive via cruise ship at Kings Wharf and ask to do laundry, warn them that there are zero public laundromats inside the Royal Naval Dockyard.

They will need to take a taxi or mini car heading east into Sandys Parish. The closest option is BublesUp Laundromat (formerly Sandys Laundromat) - Somerset MarketPlace Plaza, 48 Main Road.

Practical Details: Costs and Timing

Budget around $5 for the initial purchase of the blank laundry card. From there, wash cycles typically cost between $4 and $6, while dryers cost around $4 per cycle. You should bring at least $20 to cover a standard load from start to finish.

Plan your laundry runs for Tuesday or Wednesday mornings. You will have your pick of the machines, ample folding space, and no competition for parking spots.

Navigating the Cashless Kiosks

Almost every modern laundromat in Bermuda uses a prepaid card system instead of traditional coin slots. You must purchase a reusable plastic card from a kiosk mounted on the wall inside the facility.

These locations are entirely unattended. There is no staff on duty to hand you detergent, make change, or troubleshoot a broken machine. You are on your own to navigate the process, so it pays to arrive prepared.

Common Mistakes and Local Etiquette

Do not show up with a pocket full of coins. The card-dispensing kiosks only accept paper bills. Furthermore, the machines are notoriously picky. If your five or ten-dollar bill is crumpled, damp from humidity, or torn, the machine will spit it right back out. Always bring crisp, flat notes.

Another common mistake is expecting ample parking at peak times. The Serpentine Road location can get incredibly congested. If you drive a car, be prepared to wait for a spot. If you ride a scooter, make sure your laundry bag is durable and easy to strap down or carry securely over your shoulder.

Pro-Tip: Bring Your Own Supplies

Do not rely on the on-site vending machines for soap or fabric softener, as they are frequently empty. Buy your detergent during your regular grocery run at Lindo's or The MarketPlace before you head to the laundromat.

Alternatives: Wash-and-Fold for Busy Professionals

If spending two hours watching clothes spin does not fit into your work schedule, you can easily outsource the job. A few local services cater to busy expat professionals and local executives.

For suits, dresses, or delicate items that require special care, Just Shirts (20 Bermudiana Road, Hamilton) offers highly reliable dry cleaning services in the Hamilton area. They usually pickup and  deliver between Monday to Saturday.
