Watch Hill Park Bermuda
Located in Smith's parish and on a scenic stretch of South Shore Road, the tiny Watch Hill Park is a lovely place to relax and take a stunning view of the coast line. The name originated, when Bermuda passed a law to keep 24-hour watch on any possible Spanish attack. The fire signals were given from this point to alert many other strategic points in Bermuda.
It also has a cliff side trail that leads off the South Road.
The eastern stretch of South Road from here is particularly very scenic and goes towards Tucker's Point. Watch Hill Park is also favorite to the local anglers who come here generally over the weekends for
shore fishing. The catches include snapper, rockfish, triggerfish, and hogfish. There are great picnic spots at the eastern side of the park.
