Albuoys Point & Point Pleasant Park, Bermuda
Albuoys Point is located at the edge of Hamilton harbor in Hamilton City just behind the Ferry Terminal and HSBC Bank. It has a scenic waterside park - the Point Pleasant Park. This small shaded park offers a great view of the Hamilton Harbor.
You can see cruise ships passing by during April to November. You will also see ferries and many sail boats and yachts.
The Ferry terminal is the main pickup points for the Government Ferries and many of the boat tour operators. The park at Albuoys Point is connected to Front Street by a narrow lane called the Point Pleasant Road.
There are public toilets available on this road and also some nice souvenir shops. There are nice benches and picnic arrangements available at the park.
You can pick up snacks and local food from a food truck parked outside the park and enjoy the food and views from here. The
Visitors Information Center is located nearby. It's also a great place to view the illuminated yacht parade that takes place during the Christmas time.
On the western side of Albuoys point is the
Royal Bermuda Yacht Club. This members only club was established in 1844. The club has been organizing some of the world's greatest sailing events like King Edward VII Gold Cup Match Racing Competition and the Newport-to-Bermuda Ocean race.
A small
train like vehicle that runs on road, comes to Albuoys Point to pickup visitors and take them to tourist attractions in Hamilton City like the City Hall and Arts Center.
