Bermuda Restaurants & Bars With Live Music

 
 
There are plenty of restaurants and bars in Bermuda that offer live entertainment like live music of wide range including reggae, blue, rocks and pops, 70s and 80s hits etc and other entertainment like quiz, comedy shows, DJs etc. But these are mostly available during the summer season (i.e. May to October) when there is high flow of tourists in the island and the bars and restaurants go full most evenings. If you are arriving by a cruise ship you will most likely be docked at the Royal Naval Dockyard at the western end of the island. There are several bars, pubs and restaurants in the dockyard that offer live music. 
 
 
 
Bonefish Bar & Grill in one such bar located in the dockyard offering Salsa Mania (music and dance) on Mondays starting from 8:30pm until midnight. DJs play a range of music from salsa to Top 40 inspired by Latin beats. Wednesdays are Karaoke nights starting at 9pm till midnight. On Thursdays a DJ spins the discs playing assorted music from 9pm onwards until midnight. Randy Lambert plays his Spanish guitar on Sundays from 3pm till 6:30pm. 
 
Frog and Onion Pub at the dockyard is another great place for live music. On Monday nights, the local singers Will Black and Tony Brannon perform live from 9pm onwards until midnight. During the summer, a free show of Lennon Dockyard Night is held from 6:45pm until 9:45 on Thursdays at the Victualling Yard where the pub is located. This is a tribute to John Lennon who wrote his last 25 songs in Bermuda. local singers play and sing his songs when the audience enjoy and dance in the rhythm. 
 
Hog Penny, the oldest traditional pub in Hamilton City features live entertainment every night in season from 10pm onwards until late hours. The live music by local musicians is followed by DJs spinning the discs. 
 
The Pickled Onion is a well known restaurant and bar located right on Front Street in Hamilton City and overlooking the lovely harbor. The band Graffiti Park has been active since 15 years and performing during the season. They have been performing in several overseas countries as well. while their specialty is old favorites, they do play numbers from all genres. Slid James is a talented resident DJ for the IRG Restaurant Group to which Pickled Onion too belongs. He too plays a range of music. He is also one of the prime time DJs of Vive 103FM radio in the island. 
 
This is a great bar lounge in Hamilton City where you can relax, have a cocktail and listen to live music performed on stage. There is a theme every night. However there is no longer dancing on the floor. You get mostly snack items that go with the drinks. It is open every evening (till late hours) except Sunday. 
 
One of the best jazz bands The Spirit performs on Friday evenings from 7pm till 10pm. There is live music on other days of the week as well. It's located in north Hamilton and you will require a cab. 
 
Robin Hood Pub located at the outskirts of Hamilton City is a very popular pub and restaurant to the locals. There is live music in the evenings. They also host Quiz Contests on Tuesdays. 
 
Flanagan's Irish Pub and Restaurant on Front Street Hamilton also hosts live musical entertainment during the summer evenings. Bands play various types of music including rocks to reggae. 
 
 
The famous pub Swizzle Inn which is located in Hamilton Parish and the inventor of the island drink Rum Swizzle, hosts a number of live entertainment through the week. Some examples includes... The best Quiz Master of the island Mike Bishop holds a Trivia Night on every Thursdays which starts at 8pm. There is an entry fee of $5 per person. In the month of May, Pancho plays his Steel Pan at the patio on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays from 12-3pm and on Fridays from 6-9pm.  
 
Pancho also plays at the South Shore Swizzle branch at Warwick parish on Sundays from 1-5pm. Also in May  the live comedy show and music by Bill Krauss is held from 8:30pm until the pub closes. In June Ray performs Rock from Thursday through Monday in the evening. Wayne Davis plays his keyboard on Thursdays and Saturdays at the South Shore branch from 8pm until 11pm. Update: Swizzle Inn South Shore closed down in May 2020. 
 
The Jasmine Lounge at the Fairmont Southampton Hotel offers sophisticated live local music on Wednesday to Sunday in the evenings. X Temporarily Closed
